The Original Gullah Festival of Beaufort, SC is a family friendly event that takes place every Memorial Day weekend in an effort to preserve the Gullah Culture... Remember the past; Preserve the present; Shape the future. The Gullah Festival of South Carolina celebrates and recognizes the history, customs, cultures, language and accomplishments of the African Americans of the Lowcountry.  This is an event not to miss.

 The civil rights movement was a struggle for social justice that took place mainly during the 1950s and 1960s for Black Americans to gain equal rights under the law in the United States.  

We hope you will join us as we follow their path through this historic journey.

The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early to mid-19th century, and used by enslaved African-Americans to escape into free states and Canada.
